Sushi Learning Program

Course Information

Over the last few years, sushi has taken America by storm. Hundreds of thousands of Americans eat sushi every day, and that number is growing. Sushi is fast becoming a standard part of our mainstream diet. Because of the popularity of sushi, an extremely high demand has been created for qualified Sushi Chefs. Now you, too, can be a part of this exciting and lucrative field. All you need to do is enroll in our Sushi Learning Program and let our Master Sushi Chefs teach you all you need to know about sushi.

Curriculum

Red Shell instructors will teach you everything you need to know about the art of sushi preparation including fundamental concepts such as sushi rice preparation, proper fish-handling procedures, basic rolling techniques,* and food safety and sanitation. Once you have mastered these skills, our instructors will begin to train you in more advanced sushi development techniques, presentation concepts, and creative design.

We believe hands-on experience is life's greatest teacher. In our program, not only do we give you the benefit of a hands-on based training program, we take it one step further and give you a chance to practice this art in a real sushi-chef environment. That's right, part of your training will be conducted at one of our sushi store locations. The course wraps up with a comprehensive final exam and Red Shell will provide you with employment assistance**.
